This is wicked important to show and talk about. Thanks for posting this.

The narrator asks hwy they didn't fight back. Good reason - there would be no narrator to tell the story. Violence against the police just gets you beaten or killed.

Knuckleheads on both sides to be sure, but what the cops did is terrible. I understand why they videotape these things but there's no reason to pepper spray people, beat and shoot them like that. It's about power and control, not anything legal.

I have been on both sides of these cop cameras, and I am disgusted by what I have seen FROM BOTH SIDES. But, I am glad that I followed the links prompted by Amanda Cogndon's ABC news blog. What the police did in Portland simply mortified me.
P.S. I am no longer employed by any police department, I am currently on vacation in Europe. Also, If you are using a camera in Madrid, (and likely anywhere in Spain) take note that the police will not tolerate being filmed. If they even feel that you have taken their picture they will, at the very least, ask for your ID and write your name down in their notebooks. I have no idea if it is true that it is illegal to film cops in Spain, but they certainly believe it is.
